Quick unit conversion between metric mm/inch/fractional inch can be done by repeatedly pressing the mm/in/F button. The zero button allows for easy resetting, and the caliper automatically powers off after 5 minutes of inactivity. Battery replacement is convenient, as you can simply pull open the battery compartment with the metal pin provided to replace the 3V CR2032 battery, with no need for screwdrivers.
